About Hervé Mercey

Hervé Mercey has more than 20 years of experience in making woodwind instruments. While learning the trumpet as well as fine metalwork, he became passionate about making instruments. He opened his own shop, in which he both repaired instruments and made mouthpieces.

Classical, jazz and pop musicians noticed the quality of his work and his drive to spread the art of making woodwind instruments. He was called upon to teach young professionals in an internationally recognized institute. Several years later he decided to open his own school, in which he developed a teaching style based on the essential knowledge required of all professionals and interested amateurs. This is the fruit of his experience as a musician, as a specialist in woodwind repair, and as a maker of mouthpieces.
